I'll be sharing updates on my HPB surgery training, research progress, and thoughts on the future of cancer diagnostics.
As a higher surgical trainee at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston, I split my time between the operating theatre and the laboratory. My research focuses on extracellular vesicles and microRNA biomarkers for the early detection of pancreaticobiliary malignancies — work that began during my PhD at Imperial College London and continues today.
This blog will cover:
- Reflections from international surgical conferences and meetings
- Updates on our translational research programme
- Perspectives on academic surgical training in the UK
- Practical insights for surgical trainees interested in research
Thanks for following along. If you're interested in collaborating or have questions about our research, please get in touch.
